The Edmonton Police Service in partnership with Deaf and Hear Alberta have developed a new tool to help police officers and drivers with hearing loss communicate more effectively with one another.
This image shows a visor card created by Edmonton Police Service and Deaf & Hear Alberta to help Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Speech Impaired drivers communicate with police during traffic stops or emergencies.
This card is designed to reduce confusion and improve safety and communication for both drivers and officers.
Right-click the image and select “Open image in new tab” to enlarge it.
You can download, print, and keep this card in your car to help communicate with police or emergency responders if you're Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have a speech disability. It's a simple way to make interactions safer and clearer for everyone.

Look in the hallway across from the washrooms—same spot as the flyers, leaflets, and calendar. Grab one and keep it in your car.
